The Lafourche Chamber is a membership driven, nonprofit organization of businesses and professionals who work together to strengthen the business climate and the quality of life.
The Chamber was formed in July, 1994 as a result of the merger of the Central Lafourche and South Lafourche Chambers of Commerce. This united entity represents a simple, but great area. Lafourche Parish, also known as "The Longest Street in the World", connects the communities of Thibodaux, Raceland, Mathews, Lockport, Larose, Cut Off, Galliano, Golden Meadow, Leeville and Port Fourchon. But the organization's representation does not stop there. The Chamber also represents the small town of Grand Isle.

Featuring: Lori LeBlanc, Executive Director,
Gulf Economic Survival Team
Lori LeBlanc will present an update of OCS development in the Gulf of Mexico since the deepwater moratorium was announced by the administration in June 2010; as well as the findings from recent economic studies on how an increased pace of permitting could result in additional revenues and jobs throughout the country.
LeBlanc states, “Timely approval of permits for safe and environmentally sound offshore energy activity is key to the ability of companies to operate in the Gulf, directly impacting their ability to provide Americans with good jobs, contribute needed tax and royalty revenue to the U.S. Treasury, and support U.S. energy security.”
