The Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo is taking place from Thursday, July 4 – Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Moran’s Marina in Port Fourchon. Fishing begins at safe light on Thursday, July 4, 2019; the rodeo tent will be open on Friday, July 5 & Saturday, July 6, 2019.
The mission of the Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo is to maintain the unique family oriented sportsmen culture and heritage of Lafourche and Grand Isle through a community fishing rodeo, with proceeds dedicated to scholarships and educational opportunities for future generations.
In 2018, scholarships were awarded to Brett Cheramie, Ali Daigneault, Angelle Danos, Brooke Dufrene, Emily Gros, Jaci Guidry, Allie Hendrix, and Quynh Tran.
